The HTC Vive Pro Revealed At CES 2018
HTC just revealed a new and upgraded VR headset at CES 2018. The new HTC Vive Pro is a new version of the original Vive that was released two years ago. The launch of the Vive Pro is meant to improve past faults of its predecessor, most notably the screen resolution.
The HTC Vive Pro sports a dual OLED display with a resolution of 2880 x 1600 (1400 x 1600 per eye, and 615 ppi). This resolution is a 78 percent increase from the previous 2160 x 1200 (1080 x 1200 per eye) resolution of the original Vive. The improved resolution of the HTC Vive Pro, will increase the overall pixel density and will make text and graphics crisper and smoother than before.
The HTC Vive Pro also integrated the dual front-facing camera, the dual microphones, and the headphones with built-in amplifier. This is a huge improvement from the original Vive model where the headphones are only available as an add-on. The Vive Pro also redesigned the head strap, making it more ergonomic and easy to adjust with a blue color design of the key elements and the front display.
