Xstation Console Combines PS4 and Xbox One
Do you buy Sony’s PS4 or Microsoft’s Xbox One? If you play enough games and have enough cash, you may have purchased both and had to clear more space under the TV for them. But what if you could have both consoles on one console? Edward Zarick made that happen. You may know Zarick better as Edsjunk. He spends his time taking gaming hardware and modifying it to be, for example, more portable. In February, he revealed laptop versions of the PS4 Pro$399.99 at Best Buy and the PS4 Slim, with the PlayBook Slim costing a very strong $1,495, plus shipping of $150.This latest Xstation project isn’t one Zarick undertook to sell; it was more to see if it could actually be done. And the answer is yes it can and in just two weeks. The end result is an Xbox One S$290.00 at Amazon and PS4 Slim contained in one case with one internal power supply and a single HDMI connection that can switch between the two machines.
What’s impressive is how much space Zarick managed to save when combining the two systems, and there doesn’t seem to be any heat problems from doing so. The switching is also handled nicely on a button, making this a genuinely valuable mod for people who own both machines.
