5 Games To Die For

A Way Out

After a year filled with fantastic games that won our hearts, there was a feeling that it might not be as exciting for the game addicts. Guess what, however?  There are a zillion terrific games waiting to be explored to date but have you pondered over the ones that are literally to drool over?

2020 comes knocking with just as amazing a bunch as one can imagine, however, here are the 5 which you have to try at every cost. These games can be played by most of the game addicts despite their favorite genres and be actually liked or even loved by them.

  1. A Way Out

It is an action induced adventure game that was developed by the Hazelight Studios and further published via Electronic Arts under the label of their EA Original program. The game cannot be played on an individual level – one can either play it online or do the traditional split-screen co-op between themselves and another player. The game was released on the 23rd of March, 2018 for;

  • Play Station 4
  • Microsoft Windows
  • Xbox One

Over 2 million copies of the game were sold within the first two weeks of its release. A way out is played from a third-person perspective and was designed in view of a split-screen co-op multiplayer kind of a game. The game revolves around two characters, Leo and Vincent, that the players can control. The two are prisoners who need to break out of jail and keep running from the authority figures.

By and by – the players might come across a time when they might be able to control only one character and go through a cutscene while progressing. However, the only way to keep progressing throughout is if the players help each other out. The roles of the players aren’t fixed, thus, the players can switch duties and responsibilities when wanted. The game also comes with dialogue options – therefore – the players can have an interaction with static characters as well.

  1. God of War

It is a 3rd person action-adventure game that was developed by the Santa Monica Studio and later on published by Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE). This game was released on the 20th of April, 2018 for the Play Station 4. Chronologically, this game is the 8th segment in the God of War series. However, it is a sequel to the God of War III released back in 2010 (Yes, it took this long to come out of hiding and relinquish the thirst of its loyal followers.)

Although the previous parts revolved around the Greek mythology lightly – this one is embedded with Norse mythology to tweak the player’s interest towards the newness of the idea. The main characters of the game are, however, the former Greek God of War, Kratos, alongside his son, Atreus. Kratos 2nd wife who is Atreus’s mother dies and the two travel across the nine realms to spread her ashes at the highest peak in order to fulfill her last wish. Atrues has no idea about his father being a God nor does Kratos tell that to his son. During the journey, however, the two encounter many hurdles in the shape of monsters as well as the gods of the Norse world.

The gameplay is highly different from all the previous sequels since it was built from scratch. This game is a single-player only rather than the usual multiplayer installments. Moreover one of the major changes in the use of a magical battle ax by Kratos rather than his signature double-chained blades aka the Blades of Chaos.

  1. Monster Hunter: World

This game is slightly different than the two mentioned before as it is an action ‘role-paying’ game. It was developed as well as published by the Capcom as a continuation of their Monster Hunter series. It was initially released in January 2018 for;

  • Play Station 4
  • Xbox One

A Microsoft Windows version is said to have been scheduled later in the year. The players get the character of a hunter that s/he can customize in the matters of name alongside as an assistant handler for support. The task is usually to either hunt down to kill or trap the many monsters that might come across depending on the environment. Players have the option to either go on a solo hunting venture or in a group of 4 or less via online connections.

The game revolves around the idea of a world different from the present or old world. The new world attracts a lot of beasts and monsters towards itself and thus the players are called out to the new world by the Research Commission for support as a part of the Fifth Fleet.

  1. Sea of Thieves

This game is a shared world filled with action induced adventure that was developed by the Rare and then later on published by the Microsoft Studios. The game was released globally on the 20th of March, 2018 for;

  • Microsoft Windows 10
  • Xbox One

The game gives the players an experience of the sea world. You get to be a pirate on an adventure to sail the seas of a fantasy world as per your own choice. You can either go on a solo ride or have a crew of up to 4 players. You can also have co-operative gameplay or a competition with the rest of the players as well for a combat match. The game is played from a 1st person perspective as a ground for co-op multiplayer. Players can take up different roles while exploring the open world via a ship. Sea of Thieves is also a shared game world for this game, thus, players would frequently encounter each other throughout the adventures.

  1. Detroit: Become Human

Quantic Dream (developers) worked hard for this upcoming action-adventure game to be as rad as a large population of gamers expects it to be especially since it is as per the 3rd person perspective. The game is further published by Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) for Play Station 4. Yes, only Play Station (as far as the words are out). It would be released on the 25th of May, 2018.

The game is centralized around 3 major characters;

  • Kara
  • Connor
  • Markus

All three of them are androids as to whom the players would be playing their part in the game. Kara escapes the imprisonment of the factory she was created in while Connor is assigned to hunt down all those androids who were somewhat divergent. Markus, on the other hand, plays the role of Robin Hood in a way and devotes his being to releasing android from the captive servitudes. The game plan is a lot like the divergent series – one way or another and thus that makes it more interesting. The three have to survive or meet an end as per the dialogue choices which would majorly shape the story that is customizable by the player.

The list, however, doesn’t end here. It goes on as the year looks quite promising with a lot of awesome games on the count. One thing that is highly important is a good internet connection to keep you from disappearing in the games midway and losing your head to the opponents. You should call spectrum phone number to get a fast and reliable as well as affordable internet – check the ISPs in your area and take the speed tests to make the right choice.
