5 Video Games to Look Forward to in 2024

If next year will be half as good as this one, it’s going to be quite a year for the gaming world. 2024 is set to be a year full of amazing game releases. It’s hard to boil the many great upcoming releases down to just five. Nonetheless, we list here five games that you can start looking forward to experiencing in 2024. 

Looking back on 2023, it’s been a great year for the gaming world. There have been many exciting releases where the expectations were more than fulfilled. The year isn’t over yet, and we have already got games like Starfield, Baldur’s Gate 3, Diablo IV, and Immortals of Aveum, just to name a few. At this point, it’s looking like 2024 will be no different. So, there are many things to look forward to next year.

The story itself is going to take place between the events known from The Empire Strikes Back and Return of The Jedi. It’s looking very promising with amazing graphics and a beautiful storyline in the Star Wars universe.

2. Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

Another game that looks absolutely beautiful is Final Fantasy 7. This next entry takes place after Remake. We follow Cloud and his friends once again. We’re visiting a new world, Gaia, after the friends have escaped the previous world of Midgar. We don’t have to prolong the excitement too long as the game is promised to be released at the beginning of the year.  

3. Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II

Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II is probably Microsoft’s biggest upcoming release. It’s obviously the successor of Hellblade, which had absolutely fantastic visuals and soundscape. The new game is promised to have the same and more. The previews are already looking impressive, so this is definitely a game to be looking forward to.

4. Avowed

A completely new game that 2024 will provide us with is Avowed from Obsidian Entertainment. It looks very promising as an RPG with fast-paced action, exciting quests, and spell-casting. What’s been shown so far makes this game look like it will be one of the games of the year. 

5. The Wolf Among Us 2

And then there’s The Wolf Among Us 2. Probably the most anticipated game of them all. It has been a long way coming, but finally, we get to continue the story from its predecessor. The Wolf Among US games are released by Telltale, which will probably have a surprise or two up their sleeve. Whether this game will be able to live up to the hype will be interesting. So far, it looks like it definitely has some stunning visuals and an immersive universe.
