Acer Reveals New Laptops and More Including Glasses-Free 3D Monitors and Laptops
Acer held a global press conference where they revealed some cool latest new tech. There are the new eco-friendly Vero products that include laptops, all-in-one desktops, monitors, and more. Each product in this range uses a percentage of post-consumer recycled plastic and recyclable packaging to help reduce waste. The Sleek Veriton Vero is the all-in-one desktop and features a 24” Full HD screen and an 88% screen-to-body ratio while the new Aspire Vero laptops are available in 14” and 15” Full HD models with 12th generation Intel processors inside. If you’re looking for gaming tech from Acer’s Nitro and Predator lines, you’re in for some great gadgets. A big push is the new SpatialLabs TrueGame technology with the Predator Helios 300 SpatialLabs Edition available in early Q4 starting at $3,399.99. SpatialLabs provides glasses-free stereoscopic 3D gaming which helps supported games (list below) feel more alive with greater depth and more without special glasses.
There’s also the Predator Triton 300 SE which is a thin 14” laptop with a 12th Gen Intel processor, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 series GPU, and options for a 16:10 OLED display available this July starting at $1,599.99. Best Buy will have an exclusive design. There will also be a 16” version of the Predator Triton 300 SE that allows for a screen with up to 240Hz WQXGA display, NVIDIA G-SYNC, and NVIDIA Advanced Optimus available this August starting at $1,749.99. The new gaming monitors are the Predator XB273K LV and Nitro XV272U RV which are both 27” and feature AMD FreeSync Premium and are TÜV Rheinland Eyesafe®-certified. Both monitors will be available in Q3 and the Predator monitor starts at $999 while the Nitro monitor will begin at $449.
If SpatialLabs sounded interesting but you’re not looking for a new laptop, you’re in luck as Acer announced some new SpatialLabs monitors. The SpatialLabs View and View Pro monitors are 15.6” monitors that offer Ultra HD resolution at 60Hz or 2K per eye in 3D mode.
The response time for these is rated at <=30ms, the contrast ratio is rated at 1200:1, the brightness is rated at 323nits, has a viewing angle of 170°, and covers 100% of the Adobe RGB color gamut. Both monitors have a 56 Wh lithium-ion battery and HDMI 2.0 and USB 3.0 inputs. What sets the Pro apart is that it does allow for VESA mounting via 100x100mm brackets. These monitors will be available this summer starting at $1,099.
