All Of The Red Dead Redemption 2 (RDR2) New Treasure Maps

By  |
rdr2-treasure-goldRed Dead 2 treasure maps show a drawing of an area with levels to reach the treasure. You can get maps on your own or buy them from treasure hunters around the huge game world. There are two more new treasure maps added to the game as of now, which you can find below.

Landmarks of Riches Treasure Map

To get this map you have to do is track down the area of the first Landmarks of Riches Treasure Map.

It’s likely you’ll need to have finished Chapter 2 before doing it, but the first map is really quite close to a few of quests in that Chapter anyway, so feel free to have a look.

It’s available from Chapter 3 onwards though, so if you’ve already made it that far then you can hunt for this treasure.

Landmarks of Riches Treasure Map 1 location

The first map of this treasure is inside the Obelisk point of interest to the north-west of Strawberry in West Elizabeth.

Go past the Owanjila and maintain off-road north-east once the road turns north and you’ll see the Obelisk on top of a hill. Check around the back of it to find the map.

Landmarks of Riches Treasure Map 2 location

The map reveals the hand of God seemingly descending to a church and aiming at the bell atop the building.

Well, this is a hint to the Tiny Church in Lemoyne. Head to Lakay, and you’ll see the small building there. Jump on top of it and examine the bell on top of it for the next map.

Landmarks of Riches Treasure Map 2

Landmarks of Riches Treasure Map 3 location

The last map showed a turtle with a hole in it and some loose boards. This is clearly the Mysterious Hill House that rests on a mountain to the north-east of Fort Wallace and Bacchus Station.

Go to the location, and you’ll see the odd Hobbit house with the turtle symbol above the door. Head around to the right-hand side of the house and jump up to find a shattered window. Search it for the next Landmarks of Riches Treasure Map.

Landmarks of Riches Treasure Map 3

Landmarks of Riches Treasure Map 4 location

This hint might be the hardest to find. It only shows a cannon and a tree with a hole in it. This is a hint to Bolger Blade, which is the site of a large battle.

Just look for a prominent broken tree and you’ll find the tree near a broken cannon just south of the L in Blade on the map. Look inside the tree for the final clue.

Landmarks of Riches Treasure Map 4

Last Landmarks of Riches Treasure location

The last clue shows a mountain and a clock, which is obviously the Sundial atop Mount Shamm in West Elizabeth.

Make your way up the mountain on a horse until you can see the sundial, you’ll climb up the final part on foot to get to the sundial, climb carefully.

Then, search under a stone for your prize; 6 Gold Bars, which is a $3,000 loot once you’ve sold them to a Fence.

Red Dead Redemption 2 The Elemental Trail Treasure Map locations

How to Start The Elemental Trail Treasure Map quest

To start The Elemental Trail Treasure Map journey, you need to go to the very west of New Austin, to an area next to the Sea of Coronado.

You’ll be able to see a corpse in this area on your map. Head on over there, and you’ll be ready to start this treasure hunt.

The Elemental Trail Treasure Map 1 location

Now that you’ve arrived where the corpse is, you’ll see that it’s not anywhere to be located on the ground. Instead, the body is hung by its foot from a piece of wood on top of the cliff.

Take your gun out and shoot at the rope, and it’ll fall to the ground, which will enable you to loot it and get the first map.

The Elemental Trail Treasure Map 2 location

The first map shows you an illustration of a chimney stack, two rocks, and the background setting, and a very rudimentary sketch of some water. You have to go to the east of Lake Don Julio which is south of Armadillo.

Follow the road east till you can see a structure to the south of you. There is a rundown house here that has a cracked chimney for you to loot. Grab the clue and go to the next location.

The Elemental Trail Treasure Map 3 location

The second map reveals us an image of a strangely elevated pathway of some sort and a watchtower. It sets out that this is at Benedict Point, which is south of Tumbleweed. You’ll have to do a bit of scaling for this one.

Make your way up onto the reciprocal at the bottom of the primitive conveyor belt. Then, hop onto the wooden pathway and about halfway along, you’ll be able to explore and find the third map.

How to complete The Elemental Trail Treasure map

The last clue simply has a cross atop a tall steeple of some sort with an arrow pointing left and a cross with a sign pointing down.

The first part of the clue implies a church, while the second suggests a grave. While there are several graves in Tumbleweed that fit the description, you’re actually going to travel to Coot’s Chapel, which is south-east of Armadillo.

Go into the graveyard to the left of the church and look for the grave with a wooden cross. Explore the rock there to take your prizes; a gold bar, and a crow’s beak talon that improves your looted ammo by 10%.

Red Dead Redemption 2 Jack Hall Gang Treasure

The Jack Hall Gang, a group of outlaws, left their stash of gold around New Hanover. You can buy the first map in this treasure hunt from Maximo, a treasure hunter you can have a meeting with after starting Chapter 2 near Flatneck Station. He will attempt to sell you the map for $5 if you decline, or you can kill him and take it off of his body. If you fail to get the map from Maximo, it can be bought from a Fence later on.

The first map to the Jack Hall Gang treasure can be bought from Maximo, a treasure hunter who can be found on the ridge overlooking the river north-west of Flatneck Station and north of Bard’s Crossing, for a huge amount of $10.00.
The map portrays Caliban’s Seat, an unusual rock formation to the south of Valentine.
Climb the hill on the eastern side to get on the top.
Follow a trail through the rocks from the top.
Move on the ledge, jumping across gaps and mantling over ledges, until you reach a wide swath of white granite with a little hole in it.
and you found the treasure – and another map – inside.

Jack Hall Treasure Map 02

The second map to the Jack Hall gang treasure can be found by obtaining the stash from the first Jack Hall map.
The location pictured in the map is Cotorra Springs, just east of the dividing line between the E and W Grizzlies in Ambarino. This is also the location of a Legendary Wolf, so walk cautiously in this area if you didn’t kill the wolf already.
Go to the west end of the springs area, where you’ll notice a small circle of bizarre rock formations.
The treasure stash is inside the central stack of rocks.

Jack Hall Treasure Map 03

Map number three takes you to the lake at O’Creagh’s Run, just north of Three Sisters in the Grizzlies East region of Ambarino.
Head directly north into the hills from Emerald Ranch.
You’ll find the treasure – two gold bars – under a rock on the little rocky island in the center of the lake.

The High Stakes Treasure

The High Stakes treasure can be fired up either during a random encounter out in the world or later by buying a map from a fence if the player has blown the random encounter many times.

High Stakes Treasure Map 1

To discover the first of the High Stakes treasure maps, you’ll need to check out for an older treasure hunter.
He won’t voluntarily give up his map, so you’ll need to rob him at gunpoint or kill, or hogtie and then rob him. If those don’t fit your liking, just run into him hard enough and he will lose the map.
We’ve had the greatest luck spotting him at the top of a huge rock to the north-east of Riggs Station, though he can also arrive in different locations between Strawberry and Valentine.
Once you’ve accumulated the map, you’ll find the first treasure stash at Cumberland Falls, west of Valentine.
Head to the base of the falls from the west, then swim over to the rocks on the south side of the falls.
You’ll find a fallen tree allows you to get up to the side of the waterfall – scale up behind the falls to collect the treasure and the next map.

High Stakes Treasure Map 2

The second High Stakes Treasure Map will take you north, into the Grizzlies West.
This treasure stash is found above the frozen water of Barrow Lagoon, between Lake Isabelle and Widow Rock.
Head down onto the frozen lake and look for a tree bridging the ice-coated island and the rocky banks of the lagoon.
You can find the treasure and the next map stashed in the knot of the log bridge.

High Stakes Treasure Map 3

This last High Stakes map will take you to Fort Wallace for the hunt of the treasure.
It’s on the big rock formation directly next to Ft Wallace to the north-east.
Travel along the path leading east around the front of the fort, then turn off to ride up the hill on the backside of the huge rock face.
At the top, you’ll see a path leading down between the two peaks of the rock. Follow it down to the cliffside below and head left.
Follow the ledge and then proceed up the small ramp that rises ahead of you, crouching to make your way round the corner.
There’s a small drop ahead of you – jump below, then turn around and down to the next ledge down.
Jump over to the next ledge and crouch under the low overhang – you’ll find three gold bars hidden in the rocks at the end of the overhang.

The Poisonous Trail Treasure Maps

The Poisonous Trail is an unusual set of treasure maps in that you cannot buy the starter map anywhere, nor will anyone tell you about it. Instead, you will have to find it in the wilderness, Needing you to journey across the lands in Red Dead 2.

Poisonous Trail Map 1

To find the first map, head up to the West Grizzlies where Chapter 1 of the game happened, and head southeast from the town of Colter you were holed up into the little Cairn Lake.
Enter the Cairn Lake Lodge, and look under the bed for a lockbox you can plunder – which will include the Poisonous Trail Map 1.
The Map features a famous looking rock face that looks like a head, with a path heading to the right winding past trees to the treasure.
You’ll find this geographical characteristic in the state of Lemoyne, North of Rhodes, and North of the Hill Haven Ranch on the road up in the Scarlett Meadows.
Look for the Face Rock on the left side of the road as you go northwest of Hill Haven Ranch.
Check the map and go right from the rock face past a tree and down a slant.
Look for a withered tree trunk and a fallen log behind it.
Explore behind the withered tree trunk to find a hole at the base which you can examine to find the next map piece.

Poisonous Trail Map 2

When you find the treasure map at the Face Rock in Scarlett Meadows, you will have your next hint. The map will feature a snake-like formation and a mound with rocks where the treasure can be found.
You can find this geoglyph in lower Roanoke Ridge in New Hanover, just to the west of the Van Horn Trading Post along the lower road going towards the Kamassa River.
Halfway along the road to the river past the train tracks, Go south up the hill to find a deserted tower you can scale.
At the top, look down on the hillside to spot the geoglyph of the snake, which Arthur will draw in his journal.
At the top of the hill is the round end of the snake with a rocky mound in the center.
Climb down into the mound and inspect the hole to get the next treasure map.

Poisonous Trail Map 3

The last map you find at the Snake Geoglyph points to the location of the treasure in a secret cave. The map portrays a waterfall with a passage behind it and a hidden tunnel off to the right heading to treasure.
Move north of the Snake Geoglyph up to the Elysian Pool in New Hanover’s central Roanoke Ridge.
At the north end of the pool where the river spills out you will discover a huge waterfall.
Get off your horse behind and jump headfirst into the waterfall, where you’ll find a hidden passage into a massive cave system on the other side.
As you move deeper past the initial cave tunnel, ignore the rest of the cave on the map, and look down on the right in the first large corridor for a small slope down to a pit.
At the bottom of the hole, check the wall on the right for a little hole to crawl through into a new area.
The next part has a crossroads with two paths – and by looking at your map you’ll find that going right is the right choice. You can also find a deserted campsite here with a lockbox that holds some valuables.
Moving past the campsite, you’ll come out onto a ledge. Look to the left with your lamp to find a pit beneath you, and a lower ledge on the left that you must run to and then jump over to land.
After arriving on the lower ledge, look for a long slant on the other side to fall down to a dead end with some water, and a collection of rocks on the left.
Rise up and examine the large rock pile to discover at last the treasure of The Poisonous Trail – 4 Gold Bars!, which sell for $500 a piece at your local Fence!

Red Dead Redemption 2 Torn Treasure Maps

To manage and use the Torn Treasure Maps you will have to find and kill two unique Hermits that can be located in the world of Red Dead Redemption II. Each one comes with one half of a treasure map that will take you the unique pistol Otis Miller’s Revolver.
The order in which you collect the map halves does not matter. It will change which map half is named “Torn Treasure Map 1” and “Torn Treasure Map 2” though.

Torn Treasure Map 1

The Male Hermit is located on the far eastern side of the map, north of the town Annesburg. Along the right-hand road north of Annesburg is Manito Glade. There you will find the hermit’s home enclosed by a fence and “Keep Out” signs.
When you get there, he will shout at you and threaten to shoot at you. Kill him to be able to enter the home and get the unique shotgun simply called the Rare Shotgun. You need to pick it up now, or you will not be able to get it later. One half of the Torn Treasure Map is inside the house look into a drawer.

Torn Treasure Map 2

Female Hermit can be located on the western side of West Elizabeth. Her home is far northwest of Wallace Station. Follow Little Creek River into the mountains and her house is in the woods off to the right.
She will release her three dogs upon you when you get close to her home. Kill all three of them and the hermit herself so you may securely collect the other half of the Torn Treasure Map. The map piece is inside the house in a drawer.
The two map halves will make the complete treasure map.

Red Dead Redemption 2 Torn Treasure Map Treasure Location

Once you get both halves of the Torn Treasure Map, Go to the town of Armadillo. Northwest of the town along the state line near Rattlesnake Hollow, you will find a little cave opening.
Inside the cave is Otis Miller’s treasure. Open it up to collect the rare Otis Miller’s Revolver, with six “erotic photographs.”
