Ubisoft’s next huge Assassin’s Creed game will introduce us to the Viking era. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is expected to release as a launch title for the PS5. You play as Eivor–either a man or a woman–and your voyages will take you across a diversity of locations and landscapes. For the first time, dual-wielding comes to Assassin’s Creed, enabling you to split up your enemies with newfound brutality with axes and even shields if you like. The next entry in the off-road racing series, Dirt 5 promises to be “bolder and braver than ever before.” Very little is known at this stage, but developer Codemasters is promising to deliver “new features” and “new innovations” where every race is unique. Veteran voice actors Troy Baker and Nolan North are contributing to the game’s career mode.

Bungie’s famous shared-world shooter, Destiny 2, is coming to the PlayStation 5. However, that’s all that’s been established so far–there is no word yet on a release date or any more features revealed on how the game will use the power of next-generation consoles.

Fortnite can be played on any system and can crossplay as well and this is what the best thing about it. Epic will bring Fortnite to PS5. Releasing on more powerful hardware should be useful for the game, as the battle royale game–which puts 100 players on a single, gigantic map at once–serves more horsepower. However, Epic did not give any details on how Fortnite will profit from PS5’s brute power.
Epic verified that Fortnite will support cross-progression with the next-gen systems, so your game account, items, and all the achievements will carry over to PS5. The company also repeated that Fortnite will continue to support cross-play on all major platforms, including the next-gen consoles. The company declared that it will move Fortnite on next-gen consoles to the Unreal Engine 5 in the middle of 2021.

Counterplay Games is already hard at work with Borderlands studio Gearbox to deliver a fantasy action-RPG called Godfall as a new console exclusive for PlayStation 5. Defined as a “looter-slasher,” the game centers on fighting foes and getting loot. It has support for single-player and co-op where you can join clubs of up to three players to take on the more serious challenges.

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum
Daedalic Entertainment is developing an all-new Lord of the Rings game that is centered on an unlikely character: Gollum. In The Lord of the Rings: Gollum, you play as Gollum in a tale told from the creature’s viewpoint. It’s the first time across the whole Lord of the Rings brand–movies, TV shows, books, etc.–that a story is being told from Gollum’s view, which is interesting to think about. Very little is known about this game, and no pictures or firm features have been released yet.

Gears of War: Judgment and Bulletstorm developer People Can Fly is joining forces with Square Enix for a new game called Outriders. The new game is a shooter that also benefit from behind the chest-high walls and destroying your foes with a number of great powers.

A “cosmic horror” game, Quantum Error is the new game coming from TeamKill, following their release title Kings of Lorn: The Fall of Ebris, which was published in 2018. Little is known about Quantum Horror, but a brief teaser trailer showed some awesome visuals and gameplay that some are awesome looks like Doom meets Dead Space and it looks brilliant.

The new upcoming game from Bandai Namco, Scarlet Nexus puts you into the role of Yuito Sumeragi, a powerful soldier who has a psycho-kinesis power. The game is set in the futuristic city of New Himuka.

Vampire: The Masquerade: Bloodlines 2
The Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines sequel will be based in Seattle, a lovely city that happens to be occupied by vampires. “In this sequel to the cult classic, your preferences, plots, and schemes will change the shift of power,” Paradox said about its sequel.

Watch Dogs: Legion
Ubisoft’s Watch Dogs sequel, Legion, from Ubisoft Toronto and acclaimed director Clint Hocking, is another Ubisoft game already confirmed for the PS5. It was originally set to arrive in March 2020 for the current-generation of consoles, but Ubisoft pushed the game to give the developers more time to “ensure that their … variations are absolutely implemented so as to achieve optimal experiences for players.” Coinciding with the delay, Ubisoft also verified that Legion would be published on next-gen consoles. It’s interesting to think about what the power of the PS5 could deliver for Legion, as the game is said to enable you to control any NPC you see in the game world.
