Apple’s iOS 12 More Details Revealed

iOS 12 will be unveiled by Apple at the Worldwide Developer Conference in June, but today we have more details about the upcoming new iOS.

According to a recent report by Bloomberg’s Marc Gurman, Apple engineers will have more discretion on which features are delayed in the next version of their OS. Apple is apparently moving to a two-year roadmap for both iOS and macOS.

This means that engineers will not have to fast to pump out features to iOS if they are not one hundred percent sure it will work, this should help cut down on bugs and also improve the overall quality of iOS, which it is known for.

“Instead of keeping engineers on a relentless annual schedule and cramming features into a single update, Apple will start focusing on the next two years of updates for its iPhone and iPad operating system, according to people familiar with the change. The company will continue to update its software annually, but internally engineers will have more discretion to push back features that aren’t as polished to the following year.”

Apple plans to release new features in iOS 12, these include Animoji for FaceTime, deeper Siri integration, an updated stocks app and a lot more, but we have to wait for a while to get our hands on it.
