‘Atari 50’ Is Bringing Back 100 Classic Games To Xbox This November
Atari has revealed today that Atari 50: The Anniversary Collection will be coming to Xbox in November 2022, bringing over 90 classics from the Atari Arcade, 2600, 5200, 7800, Atari 8-bit computers, Lynx, and Jaguar platforms.
The collection will include “best-in-class emulation and modern quality-of-life enhancements”, along with six new games that “revisit, mash-up, and reimagine Atari Classics” in the form of Swordquest: Airworld, Haunted Houses, VCTR-SCTR, Neo Breakout, Quadratank, and Yars’ Revenge Reimagined.
Plus, Atari 50: The Anniversary Collection will also include interviews, documentary footage, product design documents, historical trivia, and more, put together by the developer Digital Eclipse (Disney Classic Games Collection).
Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration takes players on an interactive journey through 50 years of video games via interviews with designers, developers and industry leaders, documentary footage, product design documents, high-resolution original artwork, and a specially-curated list of more than 90 playable games.
