BATTLEFIELD 2042’s Third Multiplayer Mode – Hazard Zone
Coming out as a new first-person shooter game in a hit series is something we have been seeing AAA games do on an annual basis. What we don’t see often is a fresh take on these games that give us a new game mode. EA and DICE are looking to deliver some amazing aspects to Battlefield 2042 right from the game’s first launch.
Alongside All-Out Warefare and Battlefield Portal, they are taking the game mode titled Hazard Zone. In this new game high-stakes game mode, squads will allow an extraction-based task in which gamers will need to create their four-player team based on playstyle. Each specialist comes with a new asset and characteristic to the squad. Offensive players can view Webster Mackay and Maria Falck, who bring mobility and healing on the go. Defensive players can think Kimble “Irish” Graves and Pyotr “Boris” Guskovsky, whose Fortification System and SG-36 Sentry Gun will help lock down an area of the map. As more specialists are going to come out in the future, players can see more ways to fight with their squad further.
Basically, the goal is to reach the objective of recovering Data Drives that are scattered all over the battlefield. This mission must be completed while fighting off enemy squads with the same goal. There will be some environmental challenges, such as a Tornado, and deadly Occupying Forces that will consume resources and alert nearby enemies as well. This goal is accomplished through the 5 main phases of the match: Strategize and Equip, Insert, Retrieve, First Extraction, and Last Extraction.
Most game modes have a number of details when explained but are simple to follow once played. Hopefully, Hazard Mode’s trailer can help show what there is to expect with this one. Battlefield 2042 releases on November 19th for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
