CALL OF DUTY is Streamlining Progress on All Three of Its New Games
Activision is about to release Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War on November 13 and it looks superb, and with the game, some changes are coming for Call of Duty. The team has been working hard on making a more unified gaming experience it seems between Black Ops Cold War, Modern Warfare, and Warzone. Check out all the details on the COD blog.
After finishing the traditional leveling system of Military Ranks in Black Ops Cold War, gamers can start a new Season Leveling system that will start with the Pre-Season and will be synchronized across all three games when Season One begins on December 10. This means that players will level up and gain XP on all three games and that means that you don’t need to play a particular game to level up. It is streamlined. Your rank and XP in all 3 games will be reset once synched when Season One starts. Don’t worry you won’t be losing anything you’ve unlocked such as weapons or the perks.
Weapons are also synchronized to an extent. Starting with Season One, every gun in Modern Warfare and Black Ops Cold War will be accessible in Warzone. Level up the guns in the game they originate from as well as in Warzone which makes things brilliant.
This is not it, In Warzone will you will have the ability to take any Operator you’ve unlocked from Modern Warfare or Black Ops Cold War into Warzone. This also applies to any skins as well. There is one small exception though. Marine Corps Master Sergeant Frank Woods has a skin that will only be available in Modern Warfare and Warzone.
Now let’s talk about the Battle Pass system, great news is coming your way. gamers will be able to go ahead with Battle Pass by playing any of the three games with content unlocking in-game doesn’t matter the game you are playing.
The games support cross-play will be on current and next-gen consoles as well as PC, cross-progression, and even cross-game play. Cross-Title play enables a group to play together:
No matter what game you are playing – or the platform you’re playing it on – access and invite your friends to join you. Cross-Title Invites allow you to invite your friends who are playing Modern Warfare or Warzone to join you in Black Ops Cold War, and vice versa, with the party leader navigating to the title everyone wishes to play. The result is more flexibility and ease in gathering your friends for a Multiplayer match, Zombies experience (in Black Ops Cold War), or drop into Verdansk.
