Capcom Home Arcade Is a All New Kind of Retro Console
We are all ready for the next-generation consoles like the PlayStation 5 and whatever new robust Nintendo Switch will be, the console war between little plug-and-play retro consoles going on and new and new consoles are coming out and all comes with something little different from the competitor console. Desperate to see the same success as the mini NES and SNES classic systems, Sega, Sony, and anyone else with a gaming hardware legacy are now trying to sell that past games back to you again.
Capcom dominated the arcade scene back in the day. Those machines had their own unique hardware needs that typically made them more powerful than consoles of the era. And now that side of classic gaming is starting this new battle with the Capcom Home Arcade.
Capcom Home Arcade is a strong boy cut straight out of an arcade cabinet. The unit has two sets of Sanwa arcade controls side by side, including a joystick and eight buttons. It plugs into your TV through HDMI and has ports for power and USB as well. It even has Wi-Fi connection capabilities, letting you compete against other players in worldwide leaderboards.
But what good is a retro gaming machine without good retro games. The Capcom Home Arcade only has 16 titles but they are 16 classic Capcom games you’ll want to play. Here’s the lineup:
- 1944: The Loop Master
- Alien™ vs Predator™
- Armored Warriors™
- Capcom Sports Club™
- Captain Commando™
- Cyberbots™: Fullmetal Madness
- Darkstalkers™: The Night Warriors
- Eco Fighters™
- Final Fight™
- Ghouls ‘n Ghosts™
- Giga Wing™
- Street Fighter™ II: Hyper Fighting
- Mega Man: The Power Battle™
- Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo™
The Capcom Home Arcade launches on October 25. The only pricing details revealed is £199.99. What do you think about this new retro console?
