CD Projekt RED Announced Cyberpunk 2077 Sequel
Cyberpunk 2077 developer CD Projekt Red has just announced some big news! During the company’s strategy update that took place today, October 4th, it was revealed that the team is indeed working on a sequel to Cyberpunk 2077, and some other internal projects.
The other project we know about is the new ‘Witcher Saga’, which is currently in development using Unreal Engine for the very first time. However, the team is also at work on a brand new IP, currently codenamed ‘Project Hadar‘:
That new property has been in its “incubation” phase since late last year, so don’t expect to see it anytime soon! Still, we now know the developer is even busier than we had first anticipated.
This strategy update has also confirmed that, at present, the new Witcher saga is planned to be a trilogy. The team has labeled its upcoming Witcher plans a “new Witcher trilogy” for the first time, so we can probably expect at least 3 more Witcher games in the future!
