In 2003, Call of Duty was launched by Infinity Ward, led by co-founder Chance Glasco. The game went on to become a beloved first-person shooter series. Today, Glasco heads a new team called Good Dog Studios, and they are preparing to unveil their highly anticipated game, Martial Arts Tycoon: Brazil, at Brazil’s International Games (BIG) Festival.

Martial Arts Tycoon: Brazil is a unique blend of tycoon, simulation, and RPG genres. Set in the vibrant favelas of Rio, players assume the role of Lucas, who inherits his Uncle Renato’s Brazilian Jiu-jitsu gym. Accompanied by his pet capybara, Raphael, Lucas must navigate the challenges faced by the favela community, including climate and health issues. The gameplay involves training fighters for competitions, expanding the gym, and interacting with diverse NPCs, each with their own captivating stories and motivations for joining the gym.

What sets Martial Arts Tycoon: Brazil apart from other tycoon games is its rich cultural setting and its focus on real-life issues prevalent in Brazilian communities. In addition to managing the gym, players must make strategic decisions to improve the local community, address environmental concerns, and create a tangible impact on the game world.

“We’re thrilled to showcase Martial Arts Tycoon: Brazil at BIG 2023,” said Chance Glasco. “Unveiling the game for the first time in Brazil, where it is both set and inspired by, feels like the perfect fit.”

The game is scheduled to release in 2024 on PC and consoles. Fans eagerly await the BIG Festival, where they hope to witness the official reveal of Martial Arts Tycoon: Brazil and catch a glimpse of its exciting gameplay in action.
