Dagger, 3D Printed Super Bike
Divergent 3D is showing off a bold new “super bike” design, the Dagger. The motorcycle definitely looks brilliant and cutting edge. The Dagger sits on a 3D-printed chassis.
The printing process produces a carbon fiber structure that Divergent 3D claims is 50 percent lighter than traditional motorcycle materials, so the frame would be significantly more efficient on the road. It’s also stronger too, so that efficiency doesn’t come at the cost of rider safety.
It is not built completely out of 3D-printed materials. Dagger’s most important component for gearheads, its motor, comes from a Kawasaki H2 supercharged sportbike. Divergent is focusing on employing the 3D printing tech for the Dagger’s structural parts.
