DANCE DANCE REVOLUTION Movie is in Development

Movie adaptations of video games are not something new there are examples in the past. In fact, I’m sure many of us have at least one game that we want to see adapted. I’d be very interested in a Kingdom Hearts movie, a Metroid film, or even a Zelda film.

One adaptation I never even considered because there’s no story behind it is happening though. Dance Dance Revolution is reportedly being adapted for the big screen. This adaptation will come from Cara Fano of Stampede after her recent promotion to Director of Development, Film & TV. Here’s the setting for this movie:

“The project will explore a world on the brink of destruction where the only hope is to unite through the universal language of dance.”

Konami, the company who owns DDR, will be working with Stampede to make the film. J. Todd Harris and Marc Marcum are joining the project as producers.
