Death Stranding: Director’s Cut Release Date And New Trailer Revealed
Sony revealed a new trailer for Death Stranding: Director’s Cut at its State of Play presentation. The video unveiled a release date for the special edition, September 24, and gave a wide variety of new tools Sam can use as he travels through the wasteland.
The trailer also promised new battles and advanced mechanics to deal with these more difficult enemies, like enhanced melee combat and an electrifying master gun. You can also train and sharpen your skills at the firing range.
While exploring the world and making your way between apocalyptic settlements, you’ll have a few new tools at your disposal. Those include a cargo catapult, support skeleton, buddy bot, and jump ramp. A new fragile circuit appears to be some form of the race track for you to test your driving skills. We saw some of the new tools in action, like the cargo catapult which propels your stuff far across the map.
Death Stranding: Director’s Cut was announced at the Summer Game Fest event. In a developer Q&A video released after the State of Play, Kojima Productions approved those who bought a digital version of Death Stranding for PS4 can update to the Director’s Cut digital deluxe version for $10.
