What’s new in MCPE 1.17, 1.17.0 and 18.104.22.168 Caves & Cliffs Update?
Mojang Studios has finally announced the next major update for its sandbox survival game. Caves & Cliffs is to reimagine the mining part of the worldwide known and beloved game.
Shafts became bigger, mobs more exciting, biomes even lusher and dripstonier, while players got loads of brand new promising blocks and items in Minecraft PE 1.17, 1.17.0, and 22.214.171.124.
Mountains and caves generation
It has to be marked out the world is no longer the same as it used to be. Mountain chains, for instance, have been drastically improved.
Their cliffs became sharper, and the foothills flatter, so trees could grow on them. Besides, MCPE 1.17, 1.17.0, and 126.96.36.199 peaks received a new snow block, and as it’s been said before, it’s “snowier than ever.”
Now about caves: those are now completely different. You won’t even recognize them once you enter a narrow shaft, which eventually ends up in a vast cavern with shallow water all over the place.
Players now get to experience some flooded levels as well. There are lots of ores in those natural grottos if you explore them cautiously in Minecraft PE 1.17, 1.17.0, and 188.8.131.52.
Mojang Studios also showed at least three new underground locations in MCPE 1.17, 1.17.0, and 184.108.40.206 with unsurpassed appearance, canny creatures, and beautiful flora.
For example, Lush Caves, as it’s evident from its name, is some kind of an underground garden with a plethora of trees, vines, berries, and even flowers.
As a matter of fact, those drupes emit light, while new lilypads close themselves if you stay too long on them in Minecraft PE 1.17, 1.17.0, and 220.127.116.11.
On the other hand, Dripstone Caves is no welcoming place to visit. Mind your way and never step on a stalagmite since those things damage you painfully in Minecraft PE 1.17, 1.17.0, and 18.104.22.168.
Furthermore, mind your head and never go underneath a stalactite since it has a high chance to fall on you. It won’t end well.
It was no surprise to hear about upcoming mobs to MCPE 1.17, 1.17.0, and 22.214.171.124.
The first one is rather sweet and cute — axolotl. These creatures live only in Lush Caves pools and attack other fish.
Since they are predators, you can manipulate them using a bucket and create your army, which will heal you during underwater battles.
Goats is another quite friendly mob in Minecraft PE 1.17, 1.17.0, and 126.96.36.199. They spawn in the mountains and can jump really high.
Plus, if you or someone else attack them, they can quickly push you away off the cliff.
Warden is a terrifying monstrosity, which lives deep underground near the bedrock level. It is blind but feels vibrations you emit when you walk, shoot, or place and destroy blocks.
Wardens are considered the strongest mobs of the Overworld. They are fast and can kill you with two punches, even if you wear a netherite armor in MCPE 1.17, 1.17.0, and 188.8.131.52.
By the way, the winner of the annual Minecraft: Live celebration is Glow Squid from Minecraft: Earth.
According to the devs, they spawn in deep oceans and emit little light.
Minecraft PE 1.17, 1.17.0, and 184.108.40.206 is going to be one of the most massive updates yet. It turns out Mojang Studios is adding a new system called Archeology.
Now, every player can find archeological excavations all around the world. Use a brand new tool — the brush — to examine the remnants of the fallen civilizations.
Users can find rare antiques and use those ceramic shards on a jug to craft their own prehistoric paintings in MCPE 1.17, 1.17.0 and 220.127.116.11.
Don’t forget to heat them up a bit in the end. There is also a chance to find handy materials during the search, like pots, diamonds, iron, etc.
There is also a new ore and Redstone block you can find in the Overworld.
Copper and lightning rods
Copper is currently used to craft either telescopes, or lightning rods, or copper blocks.
The latter oxidizes with time and therefore turns green. You can quickly tell how old the building is by copper blocks in Minecraft PE 1.17, 1.17.0, and 18.104.22.168.
Moreover, lightning rods are obviously used to trigger charges onto it, so no wool or wooden roof catches fire. Even new trees from Minecraft PE 1.16.40 https://mcpedl.org/minecraft-pe-1-16-40-apk/ can be affected by the fire.
Crystals and telescope
On the other hand, there are now things called geodes all around the world. Amethyst spawn there, and they are quite rare in MCPE 1.17, 1.17.0, and 22.214.171.124.
You use them to craft a telescope, which can zoom in your view and let you see things far away. It will be especially useful in the update Nether in MCPE 1.16.
In the Deep Depths biome, where the Warden lives, players will presumably be able to find Sculk Growths.
One of those blocks is called a Sculk sensor, and it detects any vibrations made and transforms it into a Redstone signal in Minecraft PE 1.17, 1.17.0, and 126.96.36.199.
