As I embarked on my journey through this visually stunning world, I was eager to confront supernatural foes and track down “The Witch.” Little did I know, my initial steps would lead to a series of unfortunate deaths. “Witchfire” is not your typical first-person shooter; it leans more towards the punishing difficulty of the soulslike genre. You will die, and unless you’re prepared for the challenges that lie ahead, you’ll undoubtedly experience frustration. I quickly learned that defeating single adversaries and retreating was the key to leveling up, which, in turn, unlocks the ability to craft health potions and more.
