Far Cry 4 – ‘Bringing Kyrat To Life’

Ubisoft released the third and final behind the scenes video in the mini-documentary series for their upcoming open world first-person shooter, Far Cry 4.

“The final installment that takes you deep into real-world Nepal and gives you an inside look at the VICE led trek that inspired the game.”

“Two members from the Far Cry 4 development team at Ubisoft Montreal traveled to Nepal to get an inside look at the region that inspired the setting for the game.

The results were eye-opening: the trip not only left a lasting impression on Narrative Director Mark Thompson and Production Manager Philippe Fournier, but it literally changed the game.

When they returned from Nepal, Thompson realized their Kyrat was essentially a “Disney” version of the region and they went back to the drawing board. It wasn’t just a life-changing experience, but it was a game-changer as well.”

Far Cry 4 will release on November 18 in North America and November 20, 2014 in Europe for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
