FAR CRY 5 Main Campaign is Playable Offline, Microtransactions Details Confirmed
Ubisoft confirmed via GameSpot that the main single-player campaign of the upcoming most anticipated game would be playable offline, which is brilliant news for players who love to play games alone and love the single-player campaign, which is getting scarce these days. Obviously, you need to be online if you want to try out the game’s co-op and multiplayer modes. If you want to know the history of the Far Cry franchise click the link.
Executive producer Dan Hay also said that you should budget a good amount of time to play the campaign–around 25 hours–but it’s only a start. “I would say that a good player will go through it in 25 hours,” Hay told GameSpot during an interview recently.
Now let’s talk about microtransactions that will also be present in the game. But, they will be limited to just cosmetic items only, and will not affect gameplay at all. Also, these cosmetic items will all be available in the single-player, co-op, and multiplayer modes of the game.
“We’ve set up the game up to be generous,” Ubisoft’s Dan Hay told GameSpot. “We’ve set the game up so…nothing is locked [away]. You can go out and explore, and the game will reward you for your exploration.”
Microtransactions will be related to the Time Saver packs that were offered by Ubisoft in previous titles. Gamers can unlock these items by progressing in the game, but, if you are not a good explorer, you can always purchase these cosmetic items.
Far Cry 5 will hit the stores on March 27, for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the PC.
