Final Fantasy 16 Demo Release Time and Date Revealed

Exciting news for Final Fantasy 16 fans! The highly anticipated playable demo of the game will finally be available on June 12. Square Enix made this announcement during a pre-launch celebration stream, providing details on the demo’s duration and the battles it will feature.

As the next installment in the long-running Final Fantasy series, Final Fantasy 16 has generated immense anticipation among gamers for its release in 2023. In the game, players will assume the role of Clive Rosfield and follow his journey through different stages of his life, from his teenage years into adulthood. They will also wield the power of various Eikons, the game’s powerful entities, in unique ways. Fans have been eagerly expressing their excitement for this latest entry, and soon, PlayStation 5 players will have the opportunity to experience Final Fantasy 16 firsthand.

The Final Fantasy 16 demo will be available for free download for all PS5 players starting at 1:00 AM PT/4:00 AM ET on Monday, June 12. While hints of the demo’s existence surfaced on social media before the live stream, it was not yet accessible for download. Previously, producer Naoki Yoshida had expressed his intention to release a demo closer to the game’s launch, to avoid diminishing the hype too early. During the pre-launch celebration, Yoshida mentioned that although the demo has a designated release time, it might take a few minutes for it to be available on distribution servers worldwide. He kindly requested players to be patient during this process. Yoshida also revealed that the demo would provide at least two hours of gameplay, featuring some lengthy cutscenes, as it takes place early in the game’s storyline.

Additionally, Yoshida unveiled a special battle segment that would be accessible from the title screen after players complete the initial part of the Final Fantasy 16 demo. This battle segment allows players to test Clive’s Eikonic abilities, and any progress made in the demo will carry over to the full release of Final Fantasy 16.

As of now, the exact storage space required for the Final Fantasy 16 demo has not been disclosed. Although two hours may seem relatively short compared to the full length of the game, players downloading the demo will get a glimpse of the Eikonic powers that await them.

Final Fantasy 16 is set to launch on June 22 exclusively for PlayStation 5. With the upcoming demo release, fans can indulge in a taste of the game’s immersive world and captivating gameplay mechanics before its official launch date.
