Fortnite Season 8 Battle Pass Will Come For Free
Epic’s Fortnite has been very successful and knocks out other battle royale games over the past year, however, a new rival is gaining millions of players: Respawn’s Apex Legends. So Fortnite is trying hard to keep its players in its own battleground, Epic is now giving away free stuff now.
Epic Games mentioned in the v7.40 patch notes that players who complete 13 “Overtime” challenges will be able to get the Season 8 Battle Pass for free. This normally costs 950 V-Bucks or around $10 in real money.
The battle pass gets you 100 in-game rewards like weapon customizations, skins, emotes, and more. Epic is giving players until February 27th to complete all of the challenges if they want to win the pass for free. Come on, you can do this. I believe in you. Get that free pass.
This will support reignite interest in the game since there are no new weekly challenges with the Season 7 Battle Pass though new season content is due in a few weeks. This will probably keep players interested in the game rather than on this newcomer competitor Apex Legends.
Also, Fortnite has a new semi-automatic Infantry Rifle and both the Rocket Launcher and Hand Cannon have been nerfed.
