GHOSTBUSTERS: SPIRITS UNLEASHED Second DLC Released Today

IlFonic, the game developer behind the popular 4v1 hunt-or-haunt action multiplayer, Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed, is set to release its second free DLC today. The DLC is available for all players across all platforms and promises to bring even more content to the game. Players can expect a new ghost, a new map, and new abilities to be included in the latest DLC drop.

One of the highlights of this DLC is the addition of a new map called The Courthouse. The courthouse has been plagued by strange activity, making it challenging to conduct legal proceedings. Decades of dark practices and paranormal contact have made the courthouse a hotbed for ghost activity. The unique design of the building, including its halls, offices, and courtrooms, all connect to form a uniquely entwined gameplay space.

Another exciting addition to the game is the new Possessor Ghost Type, along with its three variants, Scuttle, Hellion, and the famous Terror Sentinel. Each variant provides the Possessor Ghost type with a unique playstyle, complete with its own set of abilities and the Ultimate Possession, which allows players to take over Civilians and even Busters.

Additionally, players can look forward to encountering a new AI type, the Drudges, which are summoned from the depths of the Ghost Realm to help the ghost haunt the building and scare humans. Busters must focus on eliminating these spectral aides, and the Ghost can use the rifts to spawn more.

The DLC also includes a new minion ability called Trap Minions, which allows players to plant a singular minion hidden on the ground or inside of objects that will spring to un-life when its stasis field is tripped, latching onto unsuspecting victims.

To add to the fun, IlFonic has included a range of new cosmetic options for players, such as gear shells and other customizations that harken back to the Extreme Ghostbusters cartoon series. Players can also choose from new footwear, skirts, kilt bottoms, and several makeup styles, and shirt logos can now be used on appropriate tops.

In addition to the new DLC, IlFonic has also made some general improvements to the game, including a gear upgrade menu overhaul, Ghost/Buster Bot improvements, bug fixes, balance, QOL fixes, and more, to further improve the overall experience.

IlFonic has announced that it plans to release free DLC drops each quarter throughout 2023, in addition to quality-of-life patches for the game. Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed is available now for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via EGS, so get ready to hunt or haunt your way through this exciting game!
