Grand Theft Auto San Andreas

YouTube channel TeaserPlay has made another Unreal Engine 5 concept video, this time envisioning a hypothetical sequel to the beloved Grand Theft Auto: San AndreasGrand Theft Auto: San Andreas was originally released in 2004 to widespread critical acclaim and is generally considered one of the best video games ever made. Rockstar’s mega-hit has since been re-released on numerous platforms, most recently taken to modern consoles as part of the controversial Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition.

The TeaserPlay video is set in 2022, whereas the original Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas was set in the 90s. However, it starts out similar to the original game, with CJ coming back to San Andreas and Grove Street, where he grew up. This time around, though, CJ is 55 years old and looks his age, though he’s still sporting the exact same wife beater and jeans that he wore in the original San Andreas.

Clips from the original San Andreas are interwoven with a scene of CJ taking a taxi to Grove Street. CJ recalls the events of San Andreas with a somber expression. Upon reaching at Grove Street, CJ finds that his childhood home has been overlooked, with graffiti wrapping the exterior. No one else is seen in the video, but there are some vehicles outside the other Grove Street residences, suggesting that the neighborhood hasn’t been completely abandoned.

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas – The Definitive Edition is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X with Android and iOS versions in works.
