Hitman 3’s Banana Is One Of The Deadliest Weapons In The Game
Hitman 3 is still surprising us, Agent 47’s ability to turn anything into a weapon, but you be surprised to know that you can knock out a guard with a banana. The soft fruit with non-threatening vibes that seldom masquerades as a telephone. Hitting someone with a banana is fine and all, but thanks to Hitman mechanic you can unlock the full wrath of its slippery peel.
The game didn’t mention that you can do this, but they’re actually two different actions. Holding Caps Lock (or both bumpers on a controller) with an object in your hand enables you to place it in a deliberate spot. This accuracy is usually only helpful for establishing remote mines, but placing the banana in this way squishes it into a smooth banana peel. Put it along the path of someone you’d like to be less awake and, that is it, you’ve set the perfect trap.
This is the one place where the banana comes into play in the game. The result does knock targets down, but they get back up quickly pissed at the guy who just threw fruit at them so beware and be prepared.
Versatile taking out tools are important in Hitman’s difficult Silent Assassin Suit Only challenges. I found two on the first Dubai level, so that’s a brilliant start. Bananas were obviously first added in Hitman 2’s Haven Island DLC map.
Hitman 3 is a fun game to play, though carrying all of my progress from Steam to the Epic Games Store was not so smooth as mentioned earlier.
