amazon_warehouse sold its first book from Jeff Bezos’ Seattle area garage in July of 1995. The book was Fluid Concepts & Creative Analogies: Computer Models of the Fundamental Mechanisms of Thought. Ever since, Amazon has been increasing in size and has been diversifying its product range.  Today Amazon gets 35 orders per second, which means 1.1B a year.
