Jetpacks in FORTNITE Are Delayed

FORTNITE

It turns out that Epic Games selected to delay the release of the jetpacks to Fortnite after they’ve learned design issues in the game. Speaking to PC Gamer, Epic explained the item’s delay.

“This week’s new item is being changed from the Jetpack to the Hunting Rifle,” Epic said. “We found a last minute design issue with the Jetpack that’s going to delay its launch and we’re working on correcting it… The Jetpack will lift off at a later time. Meanwhile, you’ll be able to enjoy lots of no-scopes with the new Hunting Rifle item and a new, lucky point of interest on the map.”

Details on how the jetpack will function in-game are still unsure, but the problems that were discovered in the design would propose that jetpacks will be functional than cosmetic.

The players who logged in the game were welcomed with an update screen showing the already announced Fortnite Season 3 Battle Pass, together with the Royale Dragon Glider. However, just beneath those Epic Games revealed about the upcoming new item. The description reads: “Jetpack (Coming Soon). Take the fight to all new heights.”

This is why this new item will not be just for cosmetic purposes. Epic’s announcement clearly meant that the jetpack will be usable in a game and will offer players the sense to at least jump higher than they used to. Not much is known about the jetpacks.

Check out the latest set of limited time legendary weapons that are now live in the game. The Solid Gold Limited Time Mode, will temporarily change the game’s mechanics for the duration of the event. In this mode, all weapons will be available on the map and every single firearm will pack the maximum firepower. Moreover, players will find legendary versions of weapons like the Suppressed Pistol, Rocket Launcher, Sniper Rifle, Minigun, and the Hand Cannon. The Solid Gold event will be a four-player squad only event, which means that you won’t be able to try it out alone.

The term of the Solid Gold event is still open-ended, as Epic is yet to declare the end of the event. but I think this will likely last for a week or something.
