After I collect data from literature and other people’s works, I always try to do some topic-related surveys and experiments on my own.

Why is this important? Self-administered surveys, questionnaires, and experiments allow you to do more in-depth research and acquire data that goes in line with the specific problem and hypothesis you’ve formulated. This is especially important when there is not much information or previous studies on a chosen topic. This way, you will be able to fill these gaps.
