Microsoft And Sony Talking About PlayStation-Xbox Crossplay

Xbox One X

There are lots of titles that allow Xbox gamers to crossplay with gamers on PC. But crossplay between Xbox and Playstation hasn’t been possible because Sony is not interested in it at all.

Microsoft is open to the idea obviously and welcomes Xbox and PlayStation gamers to play each other online. Microsoft has validated that it’s in talks with Sony for PlayStation-Xbox crossplay.

“We’re talking to Sony [about crossplay], we do partner with them on Minecraft and of course we would like to enable them to be part of that; one community, to unite gamers. So we’re talking to them and we’re hopeful that they’ll be supportive of it,” Aaron Greenberg, the head of marketing at Xbox, told Gamereactor.

We don’t know anything about the talks or about the response that Microsoft has received from Sony so far but we absolutely love the idea and hope it happens soon.

Sony hasn’t commented about this yet. Gamers would certainly appreciate having the ability to cross-play with gamers on other platforms. Let’s see what Sony decides.
