We have some cool new information about Mortal Kombat 11 today and that comes along with a new prologue trailer, some gameplay footage, the beta date, and the confirmation of Ronda Rousey as Sonya Blade!

Mortal Kombat 11 will hit stores on April 23rd, 2019 for Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and PC.

This is the official description that has been listed on Steam:

“Mortal Kombat is back and better than ever in the next evolution of the iconic franchise. The all new Custom Character Variations give you unprecedented control to customize the fighters and make them your own. The new graphics engine showcasing every skull-shattering, eye-popping moment, brings you so close to the fight you can feel it. And featuring a roster of new and returning Klassic Fighters, Mortal Kombat’s best in class cinematic story mode continues the epic saga over 25 years in the making.”

I am playing and loving Mortal Kombat since the 90s when I was playing it in the arcades. It’s insane to see how far the gaming franchise has come and I can’t wait to get my hands on Mortal Kombat 11!

Check out the official prologue trailer which is sure to get you excited.

“Raiden has upset the balance of history with the death of Shinnok. Tired of Earthrealm’s defiance, Kronika, The Keeper of Time will bring order to the universe through any means necessary.”

And after that check out some gameplay footage for you to get excited over. This game is going to be “as savage, brutal, and bone-crunching as ever.”

It’s also been established that Ronda Rousey will be playing Sonya Blade in the new upcoming fighting game. You can see the Sonya Blade unveil video below which features more footage from the game and Rousey talking about how impressive it was for her to be a part of the game:

If you like what you see and you want to jump into the Mortal Kombat 11 beta testing, NetherRealm confirmed that it would be hosting a beta on March 28th! This will allow fans to play with various fighters before the game officially launches. There’s still no word on how much of the game we’ll have access to in the beta, so we’ll just have to wait and see.

If you want to join Beta testing all you have to do is pre-order Mortal Kombat 11 and you’ll also be able to get Shao Kahn as a fighter as part of that deal.
