PS5 Controller

Sony revealed a new update that’ll introduce many features to the PlayStation 5, and one new feature solves an issue that PS5 users have had for a while. Players now update their DualSense controllers wirelessly and without cables, you don’t have to physically connect them to the console first.

From the PlayStation Blog post, we got to know that DualSense wireless controllers can now be updated without being physically connected to the PS5. If players prefer to update their controller with a USB cable, they still can, and Sony recommends doing so “if you have trouble updating the device software wirelessly.”

This new update will only be available if you are in PlayStation 5 beta program. Players can sign up for the program by visiting the PlayStation website, but the update will be released sometime soon for all PS5 users.

This new update is currently available in the United States, Canada, Japan, the UK, Germany, and France. The update will also support 1440p for VR, have variable refresh rate support, and there is more. In addition to that, PS5 users will now have the option to link their Discord accounts to their PS5, which will allow gamers to chat with other players on many other platforms with comfort.
