Now Recycle Dirty Water Into Drinkable Water via Solar Power
A new device is on Indiegogo called the Desolenator that can make salt water or contaminated water drinkable by boiling it.
The big feature of this device is that it doesn’t require any external electricity; it uses solar power for its process. The Desolenator has no moving parts making it very robust and giving it a lifespan of 20 years. Some similar solutions on the market today have consumables like filters that have to be replaced.
The Desolenator has no filters and needs no maintenance. The designers of the device say that it is able to produce clean water at the lowest cost per liter of any system available at its scale today. The project is on Indiegogo right now seeking $150,000 and has raised $153,000 so far with four days to go. You can donate a Desolenator to a needy person in a developing nation for $650 or buy your own for $479.
