PHOENIX POINT Behemoth Edition Revealed For Consoles
Fans of the game will soon get their hands on a console version of Phoenix Point. The masterpiece from the creator of XCOM, Julian Gollop, saw a thriving and strong crowdfunding campaign and originally released Phoenix Point on PC in 2019. The game has seen many pieces of DLC after its released and the console’s Behemoth Edition agrees to release with 4 major expansions bundled in – which includes the new “Corrupted Horizons” which will release on PC on the same day.
Phoenix Point sets the player as the leader of an organization fighting a mutating alien threat that is terrorizing the last vestiges of humanity. Players will not only have to handle turn-based battles and squad control but will have to use diplomacy with other factions.
Console players will not have to wait much longer, as developer Snapshot Games in association with publisher Prime Matter have set the day of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One release to October 1st, 2021. The game won’t be a straight port, with developers agreeing to a revamped UI and gamepad controls created specifically for console players.
Phoenix Point: Behemoth Edition is also assured to upgrade to Xbox Series X/S and Playstation 5 after its release. It is currently available on Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store for PC and Mac, Stadia, and via Xbox Game Pass for PC.
