PlayStation Now Will Allow Players To Download PS4 And PS2 Games For Offline Play

PlayStation Now

PlayStation Now is a brilliant concept where players would pay a monthly fee, which gives them access to a library of games that are playable via streaming. Of course, players are expected to have a high-speed internet connection to guarantee steady gameplay and the PlayStation 4 would even test your internet connection if it’s sufficient enough to stream a game. Not everyone has a high-speed connection making it difficult for some to subscribe to PS Now. The good news is Sony has a solution to abolish this barrier.

Sony now allows players to download PS4 and PS2 games via PlayStation Now and play them offline. This is a smart solution for players who are willing to pay the monthly subscription but are unable to due to a slow internet connection. The PlayStation blog made the statement that all the games available in the gaming service are available to download offline and play offline, including Sony’s list of PS2 games. The latest feature will be slowly rolled out over the next few days to the world of gamers.

Sony also reveals that save data from before streamed games will work even if the player chooses to download the said game and play it offline. Unfortunately, a PS Plus subscription is required to do so. Also, players would have to connect their PS4 online every few days for verification purposes.

Not all games are eligible for offline play. So far, confirmed titles include Bloodborne, God of War 3 Remastered, NBA 2K16, and many more, will reveal the full list soon.
