POKEMON SCARLET And POKEMON VIOLET Coming Out This Yea
Pokémon Company officially revealed the next adventure in Game Freak’s long-running, pokemon-catching franchise. Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet will be the new games to join the Pokémon series when they will come out later this year.
Both games will feature the Pokémon franchise’s first-ever, open-world environment where players can travel between towns and the wilderness where wild Pokémon race free. The teaser trailer revealed a variety of different biomes, which contain dense forests, sprawling deserts, and bustling cities where individuals and Pokémon live together in harmony.
The trailer also showed the three, starter Pokémon players will be able to select from when starting their adventure: Sprigatito, the Grass Cat Pokémon; Fuecoco, the Fire Croc Pokémon; and Quaxly, the Duckling Pokémon. The footage revealed the Pokémon from earlier generations, such as Pikachu and Lucario, will come back in these games.
The last, mainline entries in the Pokémon franchise were Pokémon Sword and Shield, which came out in 2019. They were famous for introducing the Wild Area, the series’ first try at an open region where players could examine freely. Scarlet and Violet look to be expanding on this concept by bringing that level of exploration and freedom to the whole game.
Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet are released to launch sometime in Late 2022 exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
