PUBG’s First Official World Tournament Announced
PUBG Corp. announced recently that the first official world tournament for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds will be held this year. The competition, called PUBG Global Invitational 2018 (PGI 2018) will put 20 professional teams against each other for prestige and a huge prize of $2 million. PGI 2018 will commence on July 25-29, and participating teams will be chosen from regional tournaments that will happen in Asia, North America and Europe.
The event will feature individual tournaments for both the game’s first and third-person perspectives. On July 25 and 26, four-player squad battles in third-person mode will take place, and will be followed by the first-person battles on July 28 and 29. The tournament will end with two teams, one from each perspective, crowned as winners.
