Rockstars long-awaited sequel to 2010’s Red Dead Redemption, The mighty Red Dead Redemption 2 is delayed again and it won’t be making its “spring 2018” release window, developer Rockstar Games just announced today. The game is now dated to be released on Oct. 26, 2018, according to a post from Rockstar and this time it seems that this date will stick.

Rockstar apologized for the delay, saying the game needed more time for tweaking and a little bit of polish.

“We apologize to everyone disappointed by this delay,” Rockstar said in a post on its website. “While we had hoped to have the game out sooner, we require a little extra time for polish. We sincerely thank you for your patience and hope that when you get to play the game, you will agree the wait will have been worth it. … We look forward to sharing a lot more information with you in the coming weeks.”

Red Dead Redemption 2 will be coming on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The game was announced back in 2016 and it was supposed to be released in fall 2017.

Rockstar also graciously gave us new screenshots for Red Dead Redemption 2 to ease the pain of yet again delayed. Check out the screenshots below.
