Red Dead Redemption 2 PC Mods Will Also Come Like GTA 5?
Grand Theft Auto V community is flourishing with the mod scene, Rockstar Games is not yet engaging one way or another in terms of modding for Red Dead Redemption 2 which will hit the PC on November 5, 2019. However, it does say its preference will always be in protecting the “integrity of the Red Dead Online experience.”Speaking to IGN, Rockstar Games explained that while it embraces the “passion that players have for our games,” it wants to guarantee that “the community can enjoy [Red Dead Online] freely in the way it was intended.”
This doesn’t necessarily close the door on mod support, it would seem those wishing to mod their way through Red Dead Online may be dissatisfied. This position would be similar to GTA V, in which Rockstar will actively stop players from modding and ban them in Grand Theft Auto Online, but will leave single-player mods be. That being said, there isn’t an officially supported a way to mod GTA V, Rockstar just usually won’t come after a player except it hits GTA Online in any way.
Red Dead Redemption 2 will be released on PC on November 5, 2019.
