Red Dead Redemption 2 Staff Hides A Message About Overtime
Rockstar Games’ Red Dead Redemption 2 was filled with stories about the overtime practice that was developed in the studio, just before the release of the game. Some employees reported that the working conditions at Rockstar became poisonous as developers clocked in extra hours to guarantee the game will meet hard schedules.
Now, it has been found that the team behind Red Dead Redemption 2, wanted players to know about the working environment and placed a sharp message in the game via a weapon description. Players can view the message by browsing the weapons catalog and reading the item description for the Cattleman Revolver.
“It is made by skilled laborers who work tireless hours each week and on the weekends for little pay in order to bring you finest revolver in the field today.”
Although one can claim that the weapon description was addressing a completely different thing, it is still a perfect coincidence given the debate in the gaming community regarding Rockstar’s working hours. It is fascinating to know whether the item description will be covered and changed out in the future, but then that will only do nothing but prove our doubts.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is now available for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
