Robot Capable of Solving a Rubik’s Cube in One Second
Jay Flatland and Paul Rose who are software engineers by profession and a very good one as it seems are demonstrating their Arduino-controlled robot capable of solving a 3x3x3 Rubik’s cube in just over one second. The machine uses a 3D-printed frame, six stepper motors, and four cameras to quickly analyze and solve the cube.
Flatland and Rose are applying for an official Guinness world record, which currently stands at 2.39 seconds. That record was set on October 15, 2015, by a robot built by Florida student Zackary Gromko.
