Sega Revealed The Old Handheld Prototype For The First Time
In the sweet year of 1995, Sega released the Genesis Nomad in North America. The 16-bit portable was a handheld gaming console with an LCD screen was able to play Genesis cartridges. In a recent YouTube clip, Sega’s Hiroyuki Miyazaki revealed the hardware’s prototype for the first time.
The second one is the Nomad’s final production version. The design is in harmony with the home console, which makes sense as it’s really a portable Genesis
Sega really wanted to overtake Nintendo’s handheld dominance with the Nomad, the 16-bit portable was finally unsuccessful and production was ended in 1999.
