What is a Sherlock Cube?
The Sherlock Cube is a field-ready, portable, and all-in-one solution for digital investigation. The Sherlock Cube is a very powerful tool for investigators by being able to perform functions such as write-protected data duplication, automated forensic analysis, and dynamic OS emulation. It allows remote duplication through networks. It can do a multitude of tasks that simply streamlines the computer forensics process. In fact, it is so easy to operate that anybody can use it. You don’t need IT forensic knowledge or training to understand how this unit works.
As you can see, the Sherlock Cube is a very compact unit. It weighs only 10 pounds and has dimensions of 12.2″ x 12.2″ x 2.5″.
The Digital Process
The Sherlock Cube comes with an emulation software that can be used to launch the targeted operating system. As a result, investigators can have a direct view on the suspicious computer. Its duplication speed can go up to 11 gigabytes per minute while its remote duplication speed can go as high as 2.5 gigabytes per minute.
