Sneak Peak Video Offers First Footage From Neil Blomkamp’s GRAN TURISMO Movie

Sony Pictures has released a sneak peek promo video for director Neil Blomkamp’s upcoming Gran Turismo movie!

The movie will tell the true story of Jann Mardenborough. The movie is defined as “the ultimate wish fulfillment tale of a teenage Gran Turismo player whose gaming skills won a series of Nissan competitions to become an actual professional racecar driver.”

Jann was able to translate his amazing Gran Turismo gaming skills into real life through a series of Nissan competitions, resulting in him becoming a professional race car driver.

The movie features a wonderful ensemble cast that includes Orlando Bloom and David Harbour, who is set to star in the movie with Archie Madekwe. In the video, Harbour says that it’s going to have “badass race car action you’re going to feel like you’re in the middle of.” They’re all hyping the film, and it looks like it’s going to be a great movie! I have high hopes with Blomkamp at the helm!

The cast also includes Djimon Hounsou (Shazam!), Geri Halliwell-Horner (Six Underground), Daniel Puig(Naomi), Maeve Courtier-Lilley (The Outpost), Emelia Hartford (A Hollywood Christmas), Pepe Barroso (High Seas), and Sang Heon Lee (XO, Kitty).

Blomkamp is directing from a script by Jason Hall and Zach Baylin, with PlayStation Productions’ Asad Qizilbash and Carter Swan producing alongside Doug Belgrad and Dana Brunetti.

Sony Pictures will release in theaters on August 11, 2023.
