The votes are in, and gamers on Steam have selected some of their favorites for fan-voted categories.

Game Of The Year – Elden Ring

Gamers around the world have loved Elden Ring, and even players new to the Soulslike genre played this one in spades.

VR Game Of The Year – Hitman 3

Hitman 3 has a VR mode and it is awesome! Checking out some of the reviews and gameplay videos can read like a serial killer fan page, but Agent 47 assassinating goons is a blast whether through peripherals or in VR.

Labor Of Love – Cyberpunk 2077

This one has already proven controversial, with players review bomb Cyberpunk 2077 on Steam. Cyberpunk 2077 now is miles ahead of it on launch and you can tell the developers really cared for the game and subject matter.

Better With Friends – Raft

Raft is a survival game set on a floating raft. Survive the environments and expand as you drift between islands. As with any survival game, playing with some buddies makes the frustrations and setbacks intrinsic in this genre a lot more bearable, and even makes some of the worst situations hilarious.

Outstanding Visual Style – Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales

One of the prettiest launch titles on the PS5 made its way to Steam and is loved by PC gamers. Spider-Man: Miles Morales features improvements from the previous title Marvel’s Spider-Man, and adds very interesting visual mechanics related to unique powers, enemies, and changes to the New York of the Marvel Universe.

Most Innovative Gameplay – Stray

You play as a Stray cat! This is top-tier innovative gameplay.

Best Game You Suck At – Elden Ring

As much as it was a visual delight and a gameplay dream, Elden Ring is very HARD. Very hard, but very fun and rewarding when it works out!

Best Soundtrack – Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade

One thing about Square Enix and Final Fantasy; the soundtrack will always kick ass. The remake of the first part of Final Fantasy VII is no different and has many tracks that perfectly fit the mood on screen.

Outstanding Story-Rich Game – God of War

This isn’t God of War: Ragnarok, but the GOTY original game that made its way to Steam thanks to Sony and their drive to get their games in the clutches of more gamers. One of my all-time favorite game stories, this is a well-earned reward.

Sit Back And Relax – Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga

A sharp category, and an awesome win! Lego Star Wars has always been a goofy fun series to play through on the couch or kicked back with your feet up, and the newest game is brilliant. With a bunch of fun areas to explore, an open-world Star Wars universe, and of course the much-loved episodes all playable through their entirety with the Lego Star Wars craziness are great. Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is a great option for a weekend in, and also amazing to coop with a friend.

Best Game On The Go – Death Stranding Director’s Cut

This is an excellent win. Now, on your long travels, you can also make long travels but in a video game! So immersive. But for real, Death Stranding is a game with plenty of things to offer, and the Directors cut has even more to explore and is a fairly well-optimized game that I’m sure runs well on the Steam Deck.
