Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Update Adds Small Battlefield Stage

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Update

Along with the new update, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate added a new arena. It was called the Small Battlefield Stage. This is a variation of Battlefield that takes away the platforms at the top of the level.

It must be said that this arena is only cosmetically different from the existing Battlefield and Big Battlefield, so it is unlikely to come as a surprise to the veterans and the best smash ultimate players we have collected here.

You can also set the Small Battlefield as a Preferred Rule in Online battles.

The new update also adds in the game the option for players to select any music for Battlefield, Small Battlefield, Big Battlefield, and Final Destination.

It is worth noting that some players have asked Nintendo’s management on social media to add classic levels to the game as well. For this, a vote was held, in which Rainbow Road from the 3DS version of Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Poke Floats from Super Smash Bros. Melee took the lead.

It is a giant stone island floating in the air against the backdrop of a grandiose waterfall. Probably Niagara Falls served as the prototype for the background.

Other similar flying “islands” are seen in the background. This vaguely resembles the Nagrand location from World of Warcraft (Outland). Also, the “islands” resemble the castle of the Academy of Magic from Heroes V.

The central “island” from the Small Battlefield Stage is shaped like an inverted iceberg. Piles of ice can be seen not only at the moment when you knock an opponent out of its limits, but also directly on its surface.

Opponents in the Small Battlefield Stage appear on two platforms, one level and above the main surface of the “island”. Then the battle begins.

It will most likely also become popular in Super Smash Bros. tournaments soon. Ultimate, just like other stages. But so far it is relatively new and has not yet taken part in major super smash bros ultimate tournaments.

P.S. I wonder if Nintendo will venture to add in their future updates to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate ability to destroy or otherwise alter the landscape of the battlefield during the battle. For example, for the Small Battlefield Stage, the community of Dashfight can suggest the idea of “breaking” this flying island into two or breaking off land areas at the edges, as in the final stage of the LOTR Return of the King game, at the time of the battle between Gollum and Frodo inside the Mordor volcano Orodruin.
