The Callisto Protocol Achievements Challenges Showcased Some Gory Ways To Die
The Callisto Protocol is one of the most anticipated games, as the horror game has tended to dominate the many shows it has appeared at, and use the Dead space pedigree of Glen Schofield without simply feeling like another take on the same thing. The Callisto Protocol is going to be a great horror game, and death has become its calling card.
The Callisto Protocol is absolutely not afraid to brutalize its protagonist in gory, gutwrenching, and frightening ways. And this is something that developer Mark James recently debated in an interview with IGN Japan, stating that “[gory deaths have] become our signature now. We have a signature death at the end of every trailer.” It also seems the studio wants to reward players who die, as James also suggests that they are going to do that a lot.
James also said that The Callisto Protocol‘s deaths shouldn’t be seen as a punishment, but as a way for somebody to learn from their mistakes and be delighted in the process. Because of this perspective, James revealed that The Callisto Protocol’s studio is working on the game’s achievements and trophies, and the studio has put “an achievement in there for seeing all of the deaths.” This would clearly imply to be deaths from the game’s enemies, the game’s dangerous environments, and any other way the studio sees fit to kill its players.
The Callisto Protocol launches December 2 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
