Tom Clancy’s The Division

PS4 and Xbox One is adding settings for the game so you can tweak the game as you please, The Last of Us Remasteredon PS4 included the option to run at either 30fps or 60fps. The trade-off was a lack of high-resolution shadows with the 60fps setting enabled. For Tom Clancy’s The Division, Ubisoft is set to allow console gamers to disable lighting effects as a way of increasing the framerate. This feature apparently wasn’t available in the recent beta, but will make it into the final game.

This feature was revealed during a gameplay video on Team Epiphany’s YouTube channel where they were also discussing the game with one of the developer’s from Ubisoft Massive.

It will be interesting to see how much of a difference it makes to gameplay, and what the default setting will be. Could we see the PS4 and Xbox One versions ship set at 30fps with the visuals turned up to max, then an option to disable effects and run at 60fps.
