Call of Duty: Modern Warfare‘s new Season One update is released and available now, and it’s come with a significant amount of content for free on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. There’s a brand new map, called Crash, and Reinforce, a round-based mode in which players can only respawn when one of three flags is captured. But with it what you can get for free, Infinity Ward has also introduced the game’s microtransaction store as we all expecting, which lets you buy digital bonuses with real money.
The in-game store offers up many microtransactions. If you go into the Store tab of the multiplayer menu, you’ll see you can buy all sorts of things, including Operator skins, charms, calling cards, stickers, and finishing moves. There are also new Blueprints ready to purchase. As with Fortnite, these items are only accessible for a limited time.
These items of in-game flair or only cosmetic, and can be bought with Call of Duty Points. These are available in allotments from 200 Points ($2 USD) to 13,000 Points ($100 USD).
Another sort of microtransaction now available in Modern Warfare is the first Battle Pass, which costs 1,000 Call of Duty Points ($10 USD). All 100 tiers in the Battle Pass can be acquired through gameplay or you can buy the Pass outright to unlock all the content right away. The tiers include all manner of various cosmetics and extras, along with two weapons. There is also a new Operator, Mara, who is opened at Tier 100.
