Top 5 Smartphones For Gaming

By  |

Mobile phone technology has moved forward in leaps and bounds in recent years and these handy devices can now be used for everything from listening to music to gaming. These are the five best for both simple casino roulette games to ones with top graphics like Modern Combat 5: Blackout.

  1. Google Nexus 6 (from £499)

Hardly a cheap option, but the Nexus 6 has lots to recommend it from a gaming standpoint – such as a near-6-inch screen, 1440 x 2560 resolution, up to 64GB of storage and a 3,220mAh battery. On the downside though, the size and weight make playing things a bit tough on the arm.

Sony Xperia Z3

  1. Sony Xperia Z3 (from £499)

Similarly priced to the former and has a smaller screen (5.15 inches), so what makes it great? Well, again you get a strong battery (3,100mAh) so it won’t die on you halfway through a CasinoOnline.co.nz online casino game or during the final moments of Modern Combat 5, while the colour balance and brightness ensure the graphics on these games look superb.

iPhone 6 Plus

  1. iPhone 6 Plus (from £619)

This is the first iPhone with a big screen (5.5 inches) and it is HD – showing off the graphics of iOS only games like Infinity Blade III to perfection. Plus, the 2,915mAh battery is a huge improvement on previous iPhone models, while there is an astonishing 128GB of storage space for games available with it.

  1. Samsung Galaxy S6 (from £559)

Another highly priced gaming phone with great specs, this gives you a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED screen, with resolution levels of 1440 x 2560, Android 5.0.2 Lollipop OS, quad-core processor and up to 128GB of space. However, the price can be off-putting to many gamers.

LG G3

  1. LG G3 (from £250)

For a much cheaper option, that still gives great gaming, try this model. You get a brilliant 5.5-inch screen, with 1440 x 2560 resolution, quad-core Krait 400 processor and an excellent Adreno 330 CPU for handling the graphics of things like Asphalt 8: Airborne. There’s less storage space (32GB) than the other smartphones, but still enough for plenty of games.

It’s hard to pick a winner from these, but the LG G3 gives you great gaming specs at a reasonable price.
